A whole range of projects have been keeping us busy this month. In particular we’ve been working with our lovely new client GradWeb (http://www.gradweb.co.uk/Home) on the media placement of a large graduate campaign for Imperial Tobacco Limited, across specialist websites both in the UK and across the world. The application of the Genius Campaign Management toolkit has enabled us to monitor response levels and suggest improvements to GradWeb to ensure they get the best return on ITL’s investment. At last, a credible and cost effective way to manage and improve the performance of your online advertising – we’re certainly learning a lot!
Our established executive search clients have also kept a steady stream of activity coming through, meaning we’ve considered industries ranging from the public sector, healthcare and education, to the arts, legal, charities, regulatory and landed estates. It’s always nice to have a varied portfolio of knowledge!
The roar of excitement about the significance of mobile recruitmenthas certainly gotten us talking... Widely touted as the single largest area for growth in our sector in the coming months, it’s not surprising we’re all closely following the ways in which it’s being applied, and where the success stories are. Of course, spearheading the growth is the increasing proliferation of smartphones and the way in which they enable the inputting and sharing of data on a 24/7 basis. Jobhunting can now be carried out on the bus on the way to work, whilst the family fights over the last slice of garlic bread at the restaurant, or even in desperation sat in bed at the end of yet another (too) long day. Employers, resourcers and recruiters (and their comms agencies) need to ensure their opportunities are accessible and optimised for this new route to market... and if you’re interested in doing so, why not come along to our seminar “Engaging with talent on the move” (Queen Square, 26th April). We’ve discovered that... news stories about the current and pending skills shortages in the engineering industry are only the tip of the iceberg. We’ve talked to a number of clients and recruiters about how to make an impact in this tough market and are currently preparing a variety of projects, from websites and ATS systems to creative campaigns and social media strategies which will start to go live soon. Well, we do love a good challenge…
The reaction to our Genius Easter card has made us laugh in March – from the delighted responses of some, to the slightly bemused experiences of those who opened it in quiet public places – not expecting the huffing & puffing sound effects to be quite so loud! (sorry everyone!).
Also, Jenna’s new drinking companion certainly got a recent office night out off to a good start - we think they make a rather charming pair!
And finally we are looking forward to... the sponsored Bluebell Walk on the 28th April http://www.chsw.org.uk/bluebell. In support of Children’s Hospice South West, this will be a great day out in the sunshine (hopefully) with our families. And yes, we will be in touch nearer the time about sponsorship…..!
