We’ve been busy with… for a start, sharp-eyed readers will note that we have spent most of the month remodelling the Genius website, hence the November and the December blogs being published at about the same time! We’ve been putting things in place for a busy January; including preparing proposals for global graduate campaigns (if you want to know how to engage with students on a Turkish Uni campus, we are your agency!), defining campaigns including bespoke career- or microsites and complete ATS solutions, to ad campaigns for the Royal Opera House, Kew Gardens and the General Pharmaceutical Council. We also worked with a few clients on designing their corporate digital Christmas cards - inventive, creative and environmentally sound – we were very pleased with them! On the advertising and project front, things have hardly slowed down – and we have just picked up a suite of ads for one of our smaller clients which we are very excited about.
This month, it’s our innovative chat tool that has, quite literally, gotten us talking. This fabulous module bolts onto any client’s careers site and allows them to chat to potential recruits. Understandably popular at graduate/trainee level, recruiters can host a chat about any topic – for instance ‘let us tell you about our marketing graduate scheme’ or ‘come and chat with the Director of Marketing’ - promoting the chat via social media, their own careers site and job postings. It’s incredibly flexible and can also be used for the on-boarding process across a wide geographic spread of candidates or new hires. We’ve been trying it out and are terribly excited about what we can achieve.
We’ve discovered that… eating industrial-sized tubs of chocolate fuelled us when folding, sticking, signing, stuffing and posting what felt like a never-ending supply of star-shaped Christmas cards – every office’s annual torture. We hope you liked them, anyway! And seeing as you asked, we’re not fussy whether they’re high street favourites like Celebrations or high-end luxury such as the Amelie ones we were lucky enough to trial – yum!
Our Secret Santa presents made us laugh this month. Jenna has toiled happily over her Ryan Gosling colouring book and Katherine’s shortcake (beautifully boxed) didn’t last long. Oddly, Janice has yet to add her ‘I love JR’ keyring to her keys, but it was Pete’s present of a ‘Miss Sweden’ Barbie that no-one is owning up to buying!
We’re looking forward to a very busy January, hopefully! Now that the general hassle around moving office and settling into new premises is over; and we’ve identified the best local hotspots for coffee, sandwiches and wrapping paper (a very important purchase this week), we’re gearing up for the new year and in particular the various digital projects which are allowing us to flex some expertise and creativity.
And finally, it goes without saying we wish all of you a very merry festive season and a bumper start to 2013!
